Last Friday we went to the Smoot family reunion (Adam's Mom's side) at Lagoon. Thanks so much Mama and Papa Kjar for getting the tickets for us to go! Adam has been many times before, but it was a first for B, A, and me. :) Our plan was to enjoy the Lagoona Beach water park for majority of the time (hence my swimsuit attire), but not long after we got there the temperature decided to drop a bit and the water was just a little too cool. So after Adam and two of his siblings, Sharla and Luke, braved the insanely-high-guaranteed-wedgey-slide we soaked up the energy and excitement at the main Lagoon park. And aside from finding out Brooks is quite the amusement-park-ride-aphobe (oh the tragedy of us trying to put him in those tiny bi-planes that "flew" around at less than 2 mph;) we had a stellar time. Brooks and Ava's Grandma and Grandpa Kjar were so sweet to watch them for a bit while Adam and I ran to catch a few rides...it was a blast to say the least! You can't go wrong with a Friday night full of awesome family, sunshine, fun rides, and Dippin' Dots.
