We had a relaxing New Year's Eve with a couple of our good friends, Quin & Dani.
Adam & Quin have been close friends since they were in Junior High. (they were actually part of a "fab 5"...how cute is that??) And Dani is his b-e-a-utiful wife. They are an awesome couple!
We enjoyed some smoked cheddar, grapes, french bread, candies, cookies, popcorn (can you tell we like snacks?) and of course some bubbly (even though I love me some sparkling cider, next year we'll most definitely be making some mocktails like these).
Yay for spontaneous forts!
{here's Brooks in the first stage of our fort building...before we realized forts can fit a lot of little kids, but not a a bunch of adults. haha! We'll continue on our fort later today (just for us 3)...oh i can't wait!}
Then we decided we wanted to bring in the New Year with some extra good luck!
Who doesn't like good luck??
We did a fun tradition from Spain...eating 12 grapes during the first 12 seconds of the new year. We all looked like chipmunks, but it was worth it! haha! 2011 will be extra lucky now :)
And the new year's kiss...*sigh* I love traditions :)
CHEERS to 2011!!
I have a good feeling it's going to be the best of our lives so far!
...wishing you all a happy and hopeful New Year!
