* homemade valentine's *

I've been excited to take full advantage of making homemade valentines now that we have our little boy :) And after seeing my awesome friend Rachel's valentines from her adorable girls to their grandparents (and realizing V-day is this Monday!) I knew I had to jump on something with Brooks!! Go see what she did here...you will die and go to Valentine Heaven ;) Their's was made on a much larger scale (if you go check it out you'll know what I mean) and with how wiggly Brooks is I knew we'd have to do something a little different...

Those are really cute. Would it be too embarrassing to say I'd like to do it? I don't think my hands are quite as cute though... ;)

Congrats on being featured! That's really cool, I'll have to go check it out next.

Cutest. Valentine. Ever.

I mean, really. Now I'm feeling sad about the store-bought ones I ordered for my fam. :( Boooo.

These will mean so much to everyone...and they'll treasure them forever, I'm sure!

I bet he loved getting his hands tickled with that brush! He is always so smiley and happy....can I squeeze him? :)

I am working on making a similar card, thanks for the idea! I have two boys so I put the big boy's hand on the outside and the little boy's hand on the inside, of a 5x7 card. Super cute!

These are so stinkin' cute! Thank you so much for sharing. I made similar ones with my 2-year-old daughter this year, & it was so much fun.

I referred to you in my blogpost: http://letterstomylittlelove.blogspot.com/2012/02/our-cranky-valentines.html

Hope your Valentine's Day is super special!

Hello. I love this card! I was just wondering what you used to attach the hand to the card! Thanks!

These are great! I want to do this with my little one this year. I'm a little confused about the little white heart cut-outs, though. Do you stick that on their hand after the paint so it leaves a white space when they make the handprint? That's what I was thinking, but for some reason it looks like there is a heart-shaped hole cut out of the handprint in the picture of the finished card.

Josh and Wendy Smith said...

Ronnie 373: if you look in the fourth picture, it looks like she cut out a heart shape and placed it on the paper before "stamping" her son's hand on the paper. Hope this helps :)

Hi I am also wondering what you used to attach the hand to card? Thanks!
