bookworm

Meet Brooks, the bookworm.
I absolutely love how much he's been interested in books lately! He's doing great at learning how open up the books and turn the cardboard pages all by himself :) Here are some sweet photos of our little guy enjoying some good reads...

I texted the ones above to my Mom saying, "Like Grandma like Grandson. He sure loves those books!" My Mom has, and will, always be a great example to me of having a great appreciation for the written word and constantly wanting to learn.

Sometime's he "reads" upside down...heehee..."A" for effort bud!

Yesterday we were at the wrestling meet Adam was coaching and, in between yelling with the rest of the crowd, Brooks enjoyed some light reading ;)

The other night I got these cute pics...he always picks the books we read before bed time.

We love you, our little bookworm :)

how sweet is he!!! love it!

we go to the library once a week to get cd's movies and books. It's conrad's fav thing in the world. I've been reading him a book of 100 animals and last week just to see what he'd do, i asked him to point to the most obscure animals (the ones he doesn't know know, like porcupine, flamingo, racoon....) and i kept asking him where all of the animals were and he know! I was so surprised. That repitition really pays off! He's got his barn animals down and safari animals but i was very shocked how much he actually knew. It just keeps getting more and more fun as the months go by!

He's so cute! As a book lover, I hope my kids learn to love books in the future. I don't think I ever considered kids ability to turn pages! Very sweet little bookworm!

Oh this is so sweet. Hudson's favorite toys are, by far, his books. "Book" was one of his first words, and he never hesitates to chase me or his dad down with a favorite, yelling "book" as loud as he can. (I have a feeling that you have that to look forward to, very soon! Ha!)

I love that you are instilling the love of reading into your little sweetie. I have to share one of my favorite quotes with you:

“He that loves a book will never want a faithful friend, a wholesome counselor, a cheerful companion, an effectual comforter. By study, by reading, by thinking, one may innocently divert and pleasantly entertain himself, as in all weathers, as in all fortunes.”
- Barrow

Tell Big Boy Brooks to keep up the good work!
