Wet vs. Dry leaves

I loved growing up in the PNW.  But I must admit, due to the rainy weather, there was no playing in piles of leaves...unless you wanted to get wet and end up with slugs in your hoodie. ;)  The leaves here in Utah are crisp, dry, and too irresistible not to play in. So during Ava's nap earlier today, Brooks and I went outside...and loved every minute of stomping and throwing and rolling in our beautiful, golden birch tree leaves.

PS - I probably should've raked said leaves...but I think we'll be out enjoying them for a few more days. :)

Oh my, cannot get enough of your kids... So cute. Love the Clue costumes! And I'm still waiting to pay in dry leaves, PNW to Fl = no playing in nice dry leaves ever.

Ha, it's so true! In the PNW you really only have the first day the leaves fall to play in them, because the next day it will be pouring down rain. Precious photos of course!!

SO SO CUTE- I love Brooks hat! And I think I have such a fascination with crunchy leaves now primarily because they didn't crunch back home- ha!

Playing in the leaves is really some of the simplest fun one can have...are you ever to old to throw a pile of crunchy autumn leaves over your own head? I don't think so. ;)

Brooks looks SUPER happy. I like that. :D

p.s. slugs in the hoodie really creeps me out.
