Baking, Temple Square, Cousin's Wedding, and Hiking with Grandma and Grandpa Stum!

Grandma and Grandpa Stum came to town last month and we loved every minute! My  We started Gram-mom's visit last month on a sweet note by baking some brownies. She and Brooks were the designated taste testers. ;)

We headed to Temple Square with Grandma and her dear friend Kayla who made the trip from Washington with her. It was Kayla's first time to Temple Square and it was wonderful watching her soak it up, as she's taking missionary discussions about the church. :) We got a lovely tour by some of the sweetest sister missionaries, made me miss Corrie! My favorite part was when we visited the Christus. It's such a breath taking sculpture of the Savior, and I loved watching Kayla, Brooks, and Ava be right up close.

Thursday we went to my gorgeous cousin's wedding! From the ceremony, to the delicious sunflower cake, to our Grandma Cordelia Anderson's wedding dress being on display, it was a lovely evening. We are so happy for Kirstey and Tyler! They are a beautiful couple with even more beautiful hearts. Welcome to the family Ty!

The last day my parents were here (Dad came the night before the wedding), we went on a gorgeous hike up in the mountains in Centerville. Sadly Adam had to be at work, but the rest of us had a fun after noon exploring, soaking up the fresh air and sun, and my Dad and I even cooled down in the little waterfall. :)
We love and miss you Mom and Dad! SO grateful that you make such an effort to visit us and the other siblings and grandkids. Blessed to be yours. xo

Brigham City Temple Open House

A couple weeks ago, our little family went to the open house of the beautiful Brigham City Temple. It was incredible being there together. Adam and I want so much for our children to grow up knowing they are children of God, and that he and his son Jesus love them unconditionally. And temples around the world are absolutely places you'll feel Heavenly Father's love.

Throughout the tour Adam and I liked to point out the beautiful paintings and whisper to Brooks the different scripture stories that each one depicted...and especially pointing out the Savior. It's so cute, Brooks kind of says "Cheese-us" for Jesus. :) There were also murals of gorgeous nature, God's creations. Brooks loved pointing out the water in the lakes and streams and the different animals. And when we walked into the Celestial room the chandelier was beyond brilliant with the crystals gleaming every color of the rainbow. He loudly said, "Ooooh! OH!" about 5 times, which got a few laughs from the people around us as it was a "silent" tour. ;)

Being there with my family, I didn't want to leave! I soaked up the peaceful spirit and loved being reminded of the many ways the temple has blessed my life. I cherish my sweetheart Adam and our children Brooks and Ava so much, and I've so grateful that the promises we made in the Salt Lake Temple when we were married make it possible for us to be together forever.

Adam's best friend's wedding

Yesterday one of Adam's best friends, more like a brother, got married!  Shay is such an incredible guy. And we are SO happy for him to have found and fallen in love with Kaitlyn, who is beautiful inside and out. And her little boy, now their little boy, Porter is such a fun little guy! We loved every minute celebrating with them yesterday. We started at the Bountiful Temple where they were married, then Adam went to the wedding luncheon while I stayed home with the littles during nap time, and then we went to the most beautiful outdoor reception. Brooks wanted to run all through the gardens, so thank goodness for Adam's iPhone to keep him busy. ;) And while Ava was being held in by Shay's gorgeous sister Casja, then asleep in my arms, we enjoyed delicious ice-cream and visited with friends and family who love Shay and Kaitlyn as much as we do.
*Cheers* for great friends and starting a beautiful life together!
