Happy Birthday love!!

Thursday was my forever sweetheart's birthday. He's now 26 years old!

His special day went like this...

we slept in,

ate an epic breakfast at Sill's Cafe,

hung out at home sweet home,

went to Discovery Gateway,

my heart smiled as I watched my two boys play together,

held hands and walked to the Apple Store,

surprised Adam with the promise of the iPad 3 (scored major brownie points),

sweet Grandma Stum met us downtown to pick up Brooks,

Adam and I headed to Market Street Grill,

our stomachs went into a wonderful seafood coma,

(their crab stuffed shrimp are to. die. for.)

we enjoyed sweet & sassy conversation,

I gave our server candles to put in Adam's creme brûlée,

he made a wish and blew them out,

and we topped off the night with going to see "Sherlock Holmes 2" in our PJs.

It was a pretty swell day and I hope Adam enjoyed it as much as I did!

He is the most incredible man, with a heart of gold. He treats me like a queen. He is a super dad who was meant for fatherhood...he has the most tender, yet enthusiastic, love for Brooks. I feel so blessed to be a part of his life.

Happy Birthday Adam!! I love you forever.

Spiritual Health:

Adam read Moroni 10 to me this morning...and I loved our discussion about faith, hope, and charity. Goodness that man inspires me :)

Temple + college roomies + Hires Big H

Last night Adam and I went to the Salt Lake Temple to do a session with 2 of his old college roommates up at BYU-Idaho, and one of their sweet wives. Brendan and John are like brothers to Adam...which make them like brothers-in-law to me right? :) They are STELLAR guys! And John's wife Cristy is such a sweetheart...they're pregnant with their first, a little girl, and they'll be having her in September :) We couldn't be more happy for them!!

After the a wonderful time at the temple [I LOVE THAT TEMPLE], we grabbed a bite to eat at Hires Big H down town. One of the best places to get a juicy burger, delicious fries, and huge root beer floats. (in my book, it beats In-n-Out by miles) We had such a great time with them, catching up and reminiscing about funning memories at college...goodness those 3 are hilarious together. I was laughing so hard my stomach hurt! I love it when that happens :)

It was SUCH a great night and made me nostalgic for my college days...yet it felt so good to come home and put our sweet Brooks to bed.

Life is good. Life is good.

double date + 1

Saturday we went on a double date with some good friends.

Jed & Lindsey are pretty much the best :)

We started off with a tasty dinner at Texas Roadhouse...we love us some Texas!

{their fresh rolls & cinnamon butter are TO.DIE.FOR...I may or may not have eaten a basket full}

{Brooks was getting a little antsy and wanted to get out of his high chair, but being that their floors are covered in peanut shells (awesome, i know) we needed to figure out something else...so sitting his cute little bum on the table with a bucket of peanuts did the trick! we're classy like that}

Next we went back to their beautiful home & made pizookies (deep dish, pizza cookies) and watched Brooks chase their cute little dog, Rocky, around the kitchen :)

A la mode is the only way to go :)

We ate the rich dessert while watching "We Are Marshall" (good movie!).

delicious food + great friends = good times
