Date Night Smorgasbord

Over the last few months Adam and I have gone on more dates than the whole year previous. To say we've loved it is an understatement. "Just us" time gives our relationship such a boost! Here's a smorgasbord of pictures from some of our favorites -- going to Lagoon, enjoying our fave Indian restaurant, Starbucks, massages, and going for a drive up the mountains east of our home to enjoy the sunset.

So lucky that Adam is mine. And I'm beyond grateful for outings like these that put butterflies in my stomach and remind me of our courting days when I fell head over heels in love with him. 

Happy 5th Anniversary Love!

On the 24th of May we celebrated out 5th wedding anniversary! 

Most definitely still surreal, and I love it. :) That man of mine had my heart long before the day we were married, but since that day we promised to give everything we had to each other, our love has only grown. It's been tested and I think we've come out stronger. Adam, you have my whole heart! 

These pictures are from our date that night, we enjoyed some shopping (that ended in a laughing fest at H&M while Adam tried on fitted shirts out in the open that were way too small to even button, and we didn't buy a thing. haha!) and then a delicious dinner of Vietnamese. We got little fortune cookies at the end of the night, and I loved what mine said,

"If you wish to see the best in others, show the best of yourself."

I can't help but apply that to our marriage. Neither one of us is perfect, but as we do our best to be our best for the other, we both become better from it and we both see each other in a better light! So grateful for a man that always looks for the good in me. I'm one lucky girl.

The Piano Guys

The day before Mother's Day (these catch-up posts may be out of order, oops;) we went on a date to cash in one of Adam's birthday presents...to see The Piano Guys! They were phenomenal. One pianist and one cellist that make a prime pair of entertainers and musicians. They take classical and modern songs and put their own fantastic spin on them, loved every note! And we ended the night by grabbing some In-N-Out on our way home to the kidlets. Love nights with my sweet Adam. :)

This morning...

...that happened.

Adam has been gone for the past week with his parents and brothers at the annual guys' getaway to watch the NCAA Wrestling Championships (their "March Madness"). He got back late last night, and I about melted into a puddle when I brought Ava into our room this morning, and she practically leapt out of my arms to get to her Daddy. Then they continued to just soak each other up.

Yea, I was a goner. :)

His 27th Birthday Weekend

The man of the house had a birthday over the weekend! Even though the majority of it was filled with homework, we sure had fun filling in the gaps with celebrating and showing Adam how much we love him and how glad we are he is ours!! Breakfast in bed ... 27 balloons with 27 reasons why we love and appreciate him ... lots of birthday kisses ... dinner at Market Street Grill with Mama and Papa Kjar ... Sunday brunch of German pancakes ... the birthday boy got a long nap while Brooks, the sous chef, helped me make lasagna for dinner and the birthday cake for dessert ... and 27 candles were lit and blown out. Wishing this next year is the best of your life so far love!!

And part of Adam's birthday is two tickets to see The Piano Guys in May. One of the things I love about Adam is his appreciation for music...The Piano Guys are brilliant and beyond entertaining, so we are so excited for a date night out to see them live!

Date Night & City Lights

That man knows the way to my heart...a night of delicious food and great conversation, walking hand in hand under city lights, laughing and randomly singing through it all...just the two of us.
