Our little guy has not been himself lately.
I figured the runny nose, warm forehead, and being a little blue was from teething (exciting, but tough stuff)...but after taking his temperature late last night & getting a reading of 101.4 I knew something was wrong. I gave him baby "Tylenol", a warm bath, and lots of snuggles. He slept between the comfort of Daddy & Mommy last night...coughing constantly and waking up twice to eat/snack (drinking only a couple ounces at a time)...poor little guy didn't get much sleep at all.
And this morning his temperature was 101.6 :( More children's "Tylenol" coming right up...and we headed to the "Wee Care" pediatrics section at the hospital. Of course, their reading of his temperature was 98.2 degrees (I was so relieved, but what? I promise it was over 101 an hour ago) Thank goodness they still honored my request of getting him tested for RSV. yikes! Please pray that it comes back negative tomorrow...but either way, that we'll be able to figure out how to nurse our sweet Brooks back to his healthy, happy self.
Like I said before, it's been hard to get my little guy to smile & laugh as much as usual...but he loooooves the printer in our office. That's usually a no-zone to little B...but today I sat next to him as he pressed the buttons and smiled at me as he heard the beeps and saw the lights :)
And I thought, "I remember being with Corrie & Celeste [my sisters] at Dad's office & having so much fun making copies of our hands and faces!" So Brooks and I had a little fun ourselves...
{and don't worry...everything was thoroughly sanitized following our copy-fest}
Of course I was having too much fun to realize that there was a lot of black on those papers...and suddenly the "low toner" message blinked on the display...oops. I know what's going on my to-get list next.
But it was SO worth it to see my little guy smile :)

Oh Haley, you mentioning RSV makes me so nervous- little B will definitely be in my prayers tonight!
You make me want a scanner/printer...Cooper and I probably would copy other things than our hands though...ha!
That wasnt dirty...seriously.:-)
I'll be praying that little Brooks doesn't have RSV! Bless his little heart. I'm so sad he doesn't feel good, and hope he gets better really really soon!
He looks so cute standing by that printer...and I hope you put those copies in the baby book! So sweet!

Oh no! Sorry he isnt feeling well. Man you played it cool. I think I would have been freakingout a little lol. But sounds like you have it all under control :)
PS I used to LOVE to make copies doingt he smae thing.. when did copy machines become so evil?
adorable :)
So i'm hoping this might comfort you just a bit but Tyson recently went through some of the exact same symptoms and it wasn't RSV! He just had a cold that gave him an ear infection and that is what caused the fever. I will keep Brooks in my prayers however because that would be an awful thing for all of you to go through!
OMG poor little bubs - im going to read your next post now but I do hope he is better
I hope Brooks is doing better! He will be in our prayers too.
