We were able to enjoy part of this past weekend with my sister Corrie!
She finished another semester up at BYU-Idaho (wahoo!) and was able to spend a day with us before driving back to Washington with one of her best friends :)
Saturday night I wanted to do something fun and festive with her so we went to see the Hogle Zoo Lights. The lights displays were neat, but sadly we saw more lights than animals (some cute monkeys and two parrots that Brooks loved). I guess I can't expect much more when there's snow on the ground and the temperature is below freezing... But being together made it a good night :)
Then we headed to Hires Big H to catch a late dinner...oh their homemade-rootbeer floats are GOOD. And yes, we did enjoy our float before our burgers ;) I think starting and ending a meal with something sweet is the way to go.

Spiritual Health:
Read Ether 12-15 and Moroni 1
"And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness, I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them." -- Ether 12:27

Does running around shopping, wrapping, and mailing presents count?? ;)

This looks like so much fun!I wish our local zoo did something like this! And I'm SOOO glad your sweet family liked the mac n' cheese recipe! It really is the best! :)
love your photos and love that verse. :)
You and Corrie are the two prettiest sisters I've ever seen!!! What a fun night for everyone....love all those pretty lights, and how neat that they were at the zoo! Glad you got to see some monkeys (they are always my favorite). Little Brooks looks like a snuggly little burrito all tucked in for a stroll....little sweetie. :)
I don't really like root beer (Will thinks that is the craziest thing), but I do agree with starting and ending with a sweet treat. Yes Yes.
p.s. shopping, wrapping and mailing? Definitely a thorough workout. ;)
Look at you in your red lipstick! Love it! You look gorgeous.
I'm glad to know that about not seeing many animals at the zoo lights, I think that this year we will pass, but maybe try next year and hopefully see some animals.
How fun to spend time with your sister. You guys look so much alike!
That is Mike's favorite scripture by the way :-) And yes, shopping for sure counts as a work out!!!
I agree with Ashley, you and Corrie are so gorgeous and even moreso side by side! I have been dying to see the zoo lights, they seem so beautiful!
