Little Letters

Dear Brooks,
You taught yourself how to do a somersault last week. And after each one, you yell, "tee-hi!" and I'm not sure why. But I love it. You're such a little stud muffin.

Dear patent leather oxfords,
I'm so glad we found each other at Savers today. You make my feet oh-so happy.

Dear pumpkin,
I am more than okay that you manage to sneak into everything I bake during the lovely months of October and November. The Pumpkin Snickerdoodle recipe my friend Adriana shared with me was scrumdiddlyumptious.

Dear Corrie,
You are leaving for Chile tomorrow. TOMORROW you'll be in Chile. ¡Buena suerte!  We love you so much, and you're in our prayers daily. Oh, and Brooks loved the "yewwow happy" sticker you put on the back of your letter you sent us a couple weeks ago. :)

Dear Mumford and Sons,
I'm always in the mood for your incredible music. Sometimes it gives me goosebumps it's so good.

Dear tiny tooth,
You made your grand entrance in my sweet daughter's mouth last week. And you have been causing her pain, fevers, and loss of sleep...you're lucky you're so darn cute.

Dear Adam,
This parenting gig is tricky. I love that you're my partner in it...and even though we differ in our parenting style sometimes, I appreciate that you trust my mother's instinct. I love you forever.

Dear FaceTime,
Brooks and I thank you for making the 757 miles that stand between us and my parents (aka the awesome, incredible, always-willing-to-go-find-the-cats-so-that-Brooks-can-say-"meow"-and-pet-the-screen-to-get-his-kitty-fix Grandma and Grandpa Stum) not seem like such a great distance.

Poor Ava! I'm glad the tooth finally showed itself. My kids luckily never had a problem teething, but I know for most babies it is terrible! Hope she is feeling better.
I love your shoes! And those cookies sound yummy!
Tee-hi!

What a cute post! I might have to steal the idea. I couldn't decide what to post next because it felt weird jumping right back into life, so I hope you don't mind if I link you and use your little letter idea! I can't wait for Corrie to meet President Essig! He is truly such a good, sweet man. And Brooks. is. hilarious. I love that you are raising such a fun, spunky little guy. But with you and Adam around, how could he not be? :)

Hope your little gal starts to feeling better! I know teething is no fun! My nephew (which is the same age as your ava) has 4 teeth already!
