Last Friday night, while Pandora's Christmas station played in the background, we lit up our Christmas tree. With Ava in my backpack (I was carried in it as a babe!) I covered the pine branches with those tiny white lights...and Brooks and Adam had their own fun with a little couch-pillow fight. ;) Then, by the glow of our tree, we enjoyed some tasty sushi that Adam picked up on his way home from work. Even though our "plates" were styrofoam and our "table" was the tupperware box full of ornaments, it was a pretty romantic family dinner to me. And maybe a new tradition! After we ate, Brooks braved the ladder and helped hang some ornaments. He was so proud of his work, and little sister Ava approved. :) He was sad to have to say goodnight to his "bee-foo!" (beautiful) Christmas tree. Luckily for him, we've added a few ornaments each day so the fun process of decorating our tree could last longer than one night.
And after putting the Littles to bed, well Brooks went to bed and Ava ended up joining us, we baked up a few cookies, snuggled up on the couch, and watched one of my favorite Christmas movies. Love this time of year!

Look at those sweet, happy babies! AWW! This decorating sesh sounds so much like ours...Christmas music playing in the background, trimming the tree, enjoying a movie afterwards. The only thing that was missing on our night? Sushi. And, oh, does that sound yummy. :)
